Whether you have a standard or walk-in closet, the addition of appropriate closet shelves and shelf dividers can help you make more efficient use of your space. Even if your closet already has a built-in shelf above the clothing rods, as is the case in many closets, you can better utilize the space by placing chrome or wire stacking closet shelves on top of the existing shelf. And if you don’t already have a shelf, easily installable mesh or wire vented shelving units are a great solution.
A walk-in closet provides you with multiple options for adding closet shelves (many of these options can also work in a standard closet):

Add space by hanging a shelf rack on the inside of your closet door.
